Community Meetings

Community meetings were scheduled to encourage and facilitate public participation in the Redistricting process. At these meetings, the public was welcome to pose questions they had about the Supervisorial Redistricting process and to provide input for Boundary Review Committee consideration on any component of the redistricting effort.

County staff from the Executive Office of the Board of Supervisors, Board Offices, Chief Executive Office, County Counsel, and other involved County departments provided an overview of the County Board of Supervisors’ 2011 Redistricting process. Items on the agenda included the proposed timeline and meeting schedule, legal overview, outreach efforts and public access plan, and the process for submitting redistricting plans and analysis.
