On November 16, 2010, the Board of Supervisors established a ten-member advisory Boundary Review Committee (BRC) consistent with California Elections Code Section 21505. The main function of the BRC is to study the existing Los Angeles County supervisorial district boundary ordinance and determine, based on Census 2010 population data and applicable legal requirements, if and how supervisorial districts should be adjusted to account for population and demographic changes.
The BRC mission, policies, and procedures approved by the Board of Supervisors can be found here.
